Walker County offers entrepreneurs, commercial ventures, prospective new and expanding industry, and venture capitalists outstanding opportunities to prosper.

Walker County has three Interstate highways within ten miles of its county lines - I-24, I-59, and I-75. Other major thoroughfares include US 27 and Georgia highways 2, 95, 136, 151, 157, 189, 193, 201, 337 and 341.

The short-line railroad company, Chattooga & Chickamauga Railway, provides rail service for business and industry in the area. Additional rail service is available in Chattanooga and Dalton. Water transportation is available in Chattanooga utlizing the Tennessee River.

The pillars of a strong manufacturing base, a solid service sector and growing tourism revenue anchor the economy of Walker County.
