Going on now through December 15th, residents can give the GIFT OF FOOD to those less fortunate in our area by stopping by Ty Willeford’s Edward Jones office at 503 North Main Street in LaFayette. Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm anyone wishing to give food donations is welcome. The items needed for the food drive include dry goods like pasta, rice, and oatmeal, as well as canned goods like soup, mixed vegetables, green beans, corn, canned tomatoes, and canned fruit. United Way of Greater Chattanooga is proud to team with Food City to host the tenth annual Celebrity Bagging Event in support of their annual fundraising campaign. The event includes Food City locations in Hixson, St. Elmo and Fort Oglethorpe, GA and will take place on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. They are encouraging, local celebrities to volunteer a couple hours of their time and talents to bag groceries at a participating Food City location.
