This is going to be an exciting and busy year as the Chattanooga area continues to host the Chattanooga 70.3 on May 21.
One of the ways IRONMAN gives back to the community is via grants through the IRONMAN Foundation to local organizations. Last year, the IRONMAN Foundation donated a total of $60,000.00 to over 80 groups in the Chattanooga and North Georgia region.
This year, there will be more grant money available to groups. Organizations that bring out volunteers are eligible to apply for grants from the IRONMAN Foundation. Many types of groups volunteer for various reasons including: just for fun; required volunteer hours; to earn a grant; and just to be part of the event helping ordinary people do extraordinary things. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt, meal, and have a great time!
